Text over image is good for many purposes. Emergency broadcast for example, when you want to type a message and send it to a group of screens or all of your screens. Hotel meeting room signs where you want to type in the name of the meeting and have the sign outside the meeting room door display the message. These are examples of using the text over image tool to quickly make signs but professional menus benefit too.
We use this technology to create menus where all the text is live in files on the server. If you decide to change the price of soup you simply open the file and change the price like you would do if you were editing a memo. The server makes the change without you creating a new jpeg image, saving it and sending it to the screen. Thus anytime you want to change any text on your menu it is a fast, easy process.
Menus are always customized for the restaurant and have individual graphics and logos. We create text over image menus in a two step process. First we work with you on your concept; what they will look like, colors, fonts, animations and food pictures. Once the design is frozen, we separate the text from the background images and create an overlay where each text entry has its X,Y coordinates, font, point size and color saved in a file with the text entry. Changes are as easy as editing the selected text in the content dialog box; the software applies the correct font, color and places it in the correct location on the menu.
