Our inexpensive networked signage systems offer scheduling functions to support almost every application. You can create playlists using different screen layouts and schedule your playlist(s) by the clock or by continuous loops within a time period defined by the clock.
You can schedule any playlist to start and stop by the clock at times you specify; but the continuous looping function is very useful in many places. For example advertising commercials containing short video loops and/or text slides can be grouped together and will play one after the other continuously within the time period you specify. Sometimes you want to define precisely when a playlist starts and stops. For example if you are a bank you may want to watch a financial TV show as part of your sign program so you need to switch to the show at the time it is on.
Many businesses have different hours on weekends and others have different features on different days of the week. You can create a different playlist for each day of the week and schedule Monday’s playlist to play on Monday and a different playlist for each day. The entire week will repeat until you change it. Every Monday, the same playlist will be displayed as will every other day in the week.
If your business has something different every day, you can create a playlist for every day and schedule them thirty days in advance. If you are a convention center you can create the signage slides for meeting that are weeks away and they will play on the day of the meeting.
All of these scheduling options make real world, every day programming easy. Suppose I had to create tourism commercials for my signage and Amtrak sent me a video of the train and a text slide of the schedule, another text slide of the ticket prices and all three had to be on the same screen at the same time. I could go through all the work of rendering the video to add the two text slides or just use one of our multi zoned media players and send all three separately. If all three are separate, I need to make sure they all start and stop at exactly the same time. The easy way to do this is to create an Amtrak playlist that runs the length of the video and has the text always on. All I have to do is insert the playlist into one of my loops and it will play the length of the video then stop. If Amtrak decides not to pay next month it is easy for me to remove them just by pulling their playlist from my loop.
