We are now shipping 46 inch LCD screens for full daylight window applications. This screen is 3,000 NIT which means it is almost seven times as bright as your average TV. It has an active LED backlight that delivers a 1,000,000 to 1 contrast ratio and adds depth to the colors; blacks are blacker, reds and other colors are more saturated. There is also a thin bezel version that you can use to put two or more together to build a video wall.
The screen is silent, with no fans so it doesn’t disturb people working in the room. It has aluminum heat sinks across the full back of the screen to dissipate heat. The screens themselves don’t generate much heat because the LED backlight is very efficient but they are designed to use in windows or outdoor enclosures so the screen must also dissipate the sun’s heat.
Construction is all metal with aluminum chassis and bezel. DVI input is standard but HDMI, VGA, CVBS, S-Video and YPbPr are also available. See the complete screen specs here. There is also a built in light sensor to reduce the brightness at night for comfortable viewing.
This screen is ideal to use in windows to tempt customers to come inside. It can be seen from across the street and with full 1080p resolution can show better graphics than a LED message center.
